FAQs
What do you charge for art?
Currently, my prices are as follows:
New Apparel Design - $250
EP/Single Cover Design - $300
Album Cover Design (front & back) - $500
Premade Apparel Design - $150
Poster (Tour/Show Flyer) - $300
I also understand the constraints of a small budget, so I’m always willing to work with you and discuss pricing.
What’s your turnaround time?
I get a ton of excitement from creating things, so I try to get to projects as fast as I can. However, being a seventh grade teacher can sometimes dominate a lot of my time. Depending on what the project is, please allow 3-5 days for me to send over initial design concepts.
For larger projects (i.e. multiple apparel designs or a full album art rollout) please allow up to two weeks. I don’t often take that long, but it is sometimes necessary!
What inspires your work?
I am hugely inspired by things from many different areas in my life. First and foremost, I find lots of inspiration in the natural world: mountains, forests and rivers. There’s something about the gritty aesthetics of nature (especially here in Idaho) that are awe-inspiring. I’m also attracted to fantasy/sci-fi art, especially vintage art from the likes of Frank Frazetta, Alan Lee, Mariusz Lewandowski and Michael Whelan. I also find a lot of inspiration from artists like @femalepentimento, @doronstudio and @tim9min on Instagram, who create otherworldly, dramatic art. Finally, I also find lots of inspiration in various gothic styles, from traditional 12th century Gothic art to more modern “cybergoth” styles.
Sonically, while I like to listen to clients’ music, I also often work while listening to soundtracks, especially The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and various film soundtracks. I also really enjoy working to my own “fantasy” playlist on YouTube, which I would recommend to all humans beings.
